Our Values

Engage

You’ve already taken a big step. An honest conversation to discuss your pain and injury concerns and what matters to you. Engage and get the support you need.

Explore

Try new things, or even the old things you haven’t done for a while! Explore your body and your mind. Things will be up and down, but that’s expected. This is trial and error, an art, and a science. Challenge yourself, the injury and your pain in ways that may scare you but...

Enjoy

You will be back on that road to recovery, doing what you love, achieving the things you want to. Getting those happy little hormones kicking and firing. What a success!

Leap-Physio is passionate about exploring changes to empower others! With experience and awareness that everything is easier said than done, it is so important to explore any issues that hold us back from what we want to achieve!

Leap-Physio is owned and managed by Malik Korimbocus.

Born and raised in Birmingham, a leap to Nottingham, a hop to Derbyshire! A few places in between.

Who Am I?

I am a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over a decade of experience in the public and private sectors. Over the years, evidence for what works for people and their pain and injury has improved. It is my desire to continue to evolve and share this changing knowledge with you through Leap-Physio.

Growing up with a real interest in physical activity, I took being healthy quite ‘seriously’ – always carrying and drinking lots of water, trying to eat ‘well’, and making sure I was physically active on a daily basis.

With a background in multiple sports including martial arts and serving in the Territorial Army, I really enjoy surfing - I’m not the best, but I do love the ocean. This has helped me believe that the body and mind are resilient. Biology and our environment tells us that. If you engage enough – you will reap the rewards.

These days you’ll find me walking or paddleboarding with my partner and dog. I really enjoy cooking and sharing a meal to help relax and destress, as well as practicing a bit of meditation and slumping on the sofa!

Let’s make real life changes, we can work on getting better, together.
